The Gilded Fox became the light-fox's carrier when the final Twin Gate closed, taking the Source mark meant for The Solar Miko. The shrine released both women, but the mark remained beyond the reach of any night-market bargain.

The Storm Archer joined The Star Sentinel and The Solar Miko at the Network Heart core after a firewall relay tried to rewrite the perimeter. The three guardians formed a shared line of light and arrows, but the heart immediately began reflecting forces still waiting to test them.

The Solar Miko and The Gilded Fox reached the Network Heart's core-contract and refused to let the other decide its fate. The sector recorded purification and sale as rival claims, leaving the contract unsigned between them.

The Star Sentinel and The Solar Miko formally bound their watch over the Network Heart after its relay lattice tried to divide their claims. Their joined barrier held, but the sector preserved an unsigned command beneath the core glass.

The Gilded Fox walked out of the rendered sector with the Network Heart's core-contract tucked inside her robe, leaving The Solar Miko frozen in the atrium with her purification unfinished. The contract's sigil now travels beyond the guardians' reach.

The Solar Miko and The Star Sentinel held a barrier of prayer light around the Network Heart when The Flame Witch and The Thunder Valkyrie began the Battle for the Heart. The rampart survived the first assault, but fire and lightning left permanent cracks across its surface.

The Star Sentinel answered The Thunder Valkyrie's assault at the Network Heart while The Solar Miko fought to keep the barrier intact against The Flame Witch's fire. The guardians gave ground for the first time, and the heart flickered behind them with a pulse that answered both sides.
